We produce our various cheeses in line with traditional recipes from fresh and regional raw milk, water, salt, rennet and carefully selected bacterial cultures whilst also contributing the best specialist knowledge, great sensitivity and enthusiasm. Rooted in the authentic tradition of cheese production, coupled with great innovativeness, the slogan: “Tradition meets innovation” has emerged. This is at the heart of our company philosophy.
The Neuenschwander cheese dairy is run by Ernst, Thomas and Marc Neuenschwander in the second and third generation and can look back on a company history that dates back more than 150 years.

Die Käserei Neuenschwander wird in der zweiten und dritten Generation von Ernst, Thomas und Marc Neuenschwander geführt und blickt auf eine mehr als 150-jährige Firmengeschichte zurück.

Way back in 1860, the cheese dairy in Güttingen, was one of the first village cheese dairies in Switzerland to produce Emmentaler. Due to the fact a farm active in the cultivation of grain, fat stock farming and fruit juice production could only just keep its head above water with the greatest of difficulty they decide to found an alpine dairy cooperative with 20 suppliers and a total of 37 cows to begin with. This milk processing concept proved to be a success.
In 2004, Ernst Neuenschwander bought the Käserei Güttingen. Its production capacity has been steadily expanding since this takeover. The product range was extended upon the acquisition of a second farm site in Wigoltingen. Käserei Neuenschwander AG currently has 25 employees and processes about 22 million kilograms of milk per year.

Die AOC Zertifizierung steht für Ursprung, Echtheit und Qualität. In einem Pflichtenheft sind strenge Anforderungen bezüglich Herkunft, Herstellung und Qualität definiert. Diese müssen in der ganzen Produktionskette (vom Bauern bis zum Verkäufer) eingehalten werden.
Um unser Unternehmen stets auf dem neusten Stand zu halten, haben wir das BRC Lebensmittelsicherheits-Managementsystem eingeführt. Damit können wir ein sehr hohes Produktesicherheitsniveau garantieren. Wir sind seit 7. April 2009 zertifiziert.
